Five Day Bharatanatyam Workshop with MS. Meghna Venkat (Bengaluru) 9-13th May, 2012
The Five Day workshop was held at CPA Hall, Mithibai College, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai. Participants learned theory and two items to present on the stage. They were also given certificate of participation and music to perform on stage in future. |
Five Day Kathak Workshop with Padmashri Pratap Pawar (UK) and Performance by Guru and participants of workshop

The Five Day workshop was organized at Dahanukar College, Vile Parle (E) Mumbai from 16th to 20th August, 2011, where Guruji Shri Pratap Pawar taught various aspect of Kathak to three batches of beginners, intermediate and senior level participants. Over 50 participants had participated in the workshop. On 21st August, 2011 the workshop was concluded with performance of select participants and Shri Pratap Pawar. The performance was organized in association with Bhavan’s Cultural Center, Andheri at SPJIMR Auditorium.

A performance of 7 Indian Classical Dance styles presented in the month of April to celebrate the International Dance Day. It had recital of Kuchipudi by Sapna Dennis (Bangalore), Kathakali by Ranjesh Nair(Mumbai), Manipuri Pung Cholam by Brojen Singha, Kathak by Tina Tambe, Bharatanatyam by Namita Bodaji, Mohiniattam by Miti Desai and Odissi by Nivedita Mukherjee. Manipuri and Kathak were performed on live music while other dances on recorded music.
Many eminent dancers and gurus attended the event along with other dance lovers.
